HELPING LEADERS LEAD

"Feedback is the breakfast of champions."   - Ken Blanchard

Good leaders understand their role and have a clear vision for accomplishing the job. They also recognize the importance of feedback. Feedback inside and outside their sphere of influence.

Why? Because leaders who circle back—asking, "How am I doing?", "What are we doing right?", "What are we doing wrong?", "How can we improve?"—are substantially more effective than leaders who don't.

Circle-Back is about helping leaders of service-oriented organizations be more effective. We work with nonprofits, providing valuable feedback and practical solutions for leaders and their team.

How We Do It

The most fundamental thing about leadership is to have the humility to continue to get feedback and to try to get better – because your job is to try to help everybody else get better.” - Jim Kim

Circle-back_edited_edited.jpg

To help you get better we ask, listen,

facilitate, instruct, create, implement,

evaluate and follow-up. We don't

point fingers or focus on short-

comings. We work to help you

and your team get better. You

may require a phone call or two,

an on-site visit, a staff seminar, week-

long training session, a management or

facility review... or an endorsement for other resources. We work collaboratively

with you and your team and focus on where you are, and where you want to be.

What Folks Are Sayin'

Circle-back helped us get our nonprofit moving forward.  We had a good framework, good ideas, and some interested parties, but needed some extra help getting it up and running and developing a team to get it across the finish line.  Ben is great at developing a mission; listening to all parties involved; affirming differences of opinions; keeping the team organized; while not losing momentum.  Highly recommended.

Mark Mullert, Director

Black Mountain Love Project - Founder

Ben's wisdom and years of outdoor leadership experience helped us fine-tune some details of our wilderness programming.  [Circle-Back] was easy to work with... and offered actionable feedback that could be immediately implemented by our team."

Phil Berry, Director

Camp Ridgecrest - Boys Camp

"Ben brings a kind and compassionate manner to his interactions and suggestions.  He has been a significant mentor and a strategic advisor for [our] Outdoor Education Department."

Dottie Shuman, Outdoor Education Professor

Montreat College - Liberal Arts College

Ben proved to be a tremendous resource for our camp. He stepped in, made himself available to all of our staff, solved problems and provided direction and encouragement.  We benefitted from his seasoned leadership, intuitive analysis and warm, relational personality. I highly recommend.

Hal Hill, Camp Director

Campus by the Sea - Residential Camp

""Ben listened to our needs and offered his expertise in a way that best fit our program. He provided resources and was available for questions and advice when we needed it. We're looking forward to continuing this partnership."

Sharon Aylestock, Director

Camp Crestridge - Girls Camp

"[Circle-Back] was a blessing to our nonprofit right away! Ben saw that we needed more exposure in the community and got to work...  The response has been phenomenal."

Louise Boardman, President

Williams Place - Residential Recovery Program for Addicts
